your receiver marking is ce, a common german maker code -
It is the manufacturer's code used by J.P. Sauer. Is the date cut off in the picture, or is it missing?Comment

I don't know about overlap, but the script CE was used in 1941 and 1942, and the block CE was used for the remainder of production.Comment

Ok guys,
My background check cleared today, so I picked it up today. I was not really able to look at it before the auction other than the picture I took of the receiver. I bought it on a whim (my main collecting interest is Vietnam War patches). I am really thankful for all the comments so far, and hope you guys can tell me exactly what I have. .... Also, I hate asking for value, but what would a going price be? Just want to make sure I did not over pay.
