WWII German Rifle Barrel

Hello,

I recently purchased this and was wondering which exact gun this barrel is for and what does the serial number mean? You can see it has the 6642 and a "d" or "a"? below that and the symbol next to that of course and the 4 E going around the barrel. It measures 19 1/4" overall length. The diameter of the end of the barrel hole is 1/2". Is this particular barrel rare or have any value to it? Thanks.

A German K98 barrel is about 23".

This does not look like its a K98 barrel.

MAybe a replacement for ??

I have never seen the FP sideways like that one..

A G33/40 may be a possibility, as the muzzle ends (where front sight sits) are not stepped on their barrels.....Bodes

Grebo. is the diameter a total of 1/2 across; or just the hole ??
if it's the hole , then not 8mm. rifle. jeff

Thanks for the replies, I was told by an expert in German rifles that it is a G33/40 rifle based on dimensions. Just the hole measures 1/2" in diameter at the end of the barrel where the threads are.

They removed the listing because I guess selling barrels isn't allowed? I thought I could because I see other barrels sold or being sold.. Guess I'll have to sell it through craigslist/locally. What would a reasonable price be for this barrel?
