Several years back I bought one of the death's head K98k rifles which was a rework from a G98. A local shop bought about 30 or the rifles, and farmed them out to get them cleaned up. The guy doing the cleaning found the rifle only after he had removed the barreled receiver from the wood. The death's heads were right at the wood line, and couldn't be seen until the grime was removed. It was a total mix of parts.
