Sling for US M1 Carbine - comments please

    Hi,

I was wondering if this sling is a world war 2 production made before 1945?

Is this ok for use on a Innland M1 war produced carbine?

    Thanks a lot for comments.

Hi,The sling shown is post WW2.Here is a pic of a WW2 carbine sling that was given to me by a veteran. It was on a Bring home Japanese type 99 rifle. If your Inland is a rebuild the sling shown would be fine.Jay Parisi

            Hi,

Thanks for comment. Is the metal parts on the WW2 items made of steel?

Is the oil bottle I listed WW2 made?

BAX, I would say that yours is a pre-1945 issue going by the color. Yours appears to be a more of a khaki/brown while the green ones seemed to be more post war or Korean War vintage. If you examine web gear, the earlier stuff is the khaki/brown while the later stuff was greener.
I would say that there were more than one manufacturer of those slings.

                    Hi,

I meet someone that was able to tell me about the sling. It is for a Reising MP. It is slightly wider the the US sling. Compared to a US sling it is similar to the ones made after WW2. This is wartime but not for US, but for the Reising MP.

                    Thanks for all comments.
