    Russian rifles

Would someone please list all Russian rifles manufactured during WWII. I am trying to pin down a bayonet made in 1944. Thanks

In 1944, the only rifles being produced were the Moisin-Nagant bolt action and the SVT semi-automatic. Can you post a pic?

No pic, I'm holding off on buying it until I find out what its for. It does not fit a SVT40 or the M44. It looks just like a wooden handled K98 bayonet but with a muzzle loop (fits over SVT40 muzzle) but wont fit/lock in the lug. Has a similiar black leather frog and scabbard, the top of the blade is sharpened about the first 3".

Hi Tony, Gene is correct. I have shown my SVT40 bayonet in this forum. It can't be Soviet in origin. But I would be interested in seeing a pic.

        Cheers, Ade.

My belief was that the last SVT-40's where produced in 1943. After that the only rifles produced were the Mosin Nagants. My guess is that the bayonet is for the Yugoslavian mauser rifle.
