Hi fellas, I recently acquired this P38 soft flap that was used for a P35 HP. Pics are of my P35 mated with the P38 holster. My HP fits perfect..just sharing...thoughts welcome.

Nice find - though it looks like a rather brutal form fitting. I'm actually rather surprised that the spare mag holder didn't get broken - more than that, that is - when somebody rammed the double column Mle 35 mag in it.

I too, am shocked that the magazine would fit though!
I wouldn't say this was common practice, but I have seen several P38s, in Hi-power holsters, or Radoms, in P38 holsters.

Yes as y'all can see, the mag does fit. Though its very tight and would be awkward to retrieve in an emergency situation...

I think what Magnus is referring to, is the finish original on the HP?
On the photo where you can see the HP frame and slide, it appears to be a very high polish finish, yet, it is a not a tangent sight gun? I would assume that the gun has been re-finished then?
I know your original posting was about the holster only, so I didn't comment on the gun earlier. I was just guessing at what Magnus was referring to?
