    Mauser HSc Pistol

This morning I made my morning rounds through the local gunshops, and found a Mauser HSc .32 cal pistol. It is in good shape, shows holster wear, but overall in great shape. It has the eagle over N proof on the right side of slide, and well as on trigger guard. It also has a Waa655 stamp on trigger guard as well. Would this be worth 195.00?
    Thanks!

Just called the shop owner and had him to salt the pistol back for me on the payment plan! Now, if the other shop down the road will hold the Russian capture 42 code 1938 K98!

We hope you ran back and got that HSc and even paid tax on it! That's a steal for an early HSc pistol.
When you have a chance, could you post two things:
        1) Does the pistol have a small Nazi eagle on the very rear tang on the left side?
        2) The complete six-digit serial number.
        Thanks in advance.

I do know the serial number for this pistol is in the 700,000 range, I cannot remember the exact number. I remember two eagle over N proofs, one on the front right side of slide, and the other I believe on the left tang. Also, the WAA655 is on the left side of trigger guard.

You're correct, the E/655 should be at the rear of the left side of trigger guard. The Eagle/N is the factory firing proof that appears on all Third Reich era HSc pistols, both at the rear of the right side of trigger guard and at the front of right side of slide.
When you get the pistol, let us know the serial number and whether there's an additional small Nazi eagle on the left side of the grip tang.
            Congratulations on a great buy!

This morning I picked up the HSc. The waffenampt E/655 is fairly large considering where it is stamped, and I cannot find any army acceptance stamp on the pistol. The serial number is 735962.

The E/655 is the Army (Heer) procurement acceptance stamp. It is a fairly early Army pistol that was manufactured in 1941. Later in production, the designation for the Army inspection/acceptance team (Waffenamt) at the Mauser factory was changed from 655 to 135.

I checked on the left tang for the small nazi eagle, and could not find one. For some reason, I was thinking that the small eagle would have been the army acceptance stamp rather than the E/655.

Many thanks for the information! Now I know more about the pistol than I did before!
