    PPK value help

What is the current value [Not book] of this PPK. From the Serial it seems to be a late 32 or 33 90 deg Crown N in 90% condtion. Bore is exclent and mag is original banner only. Not one crack in the grips and the slide is matching to the frame. crown n on the barrel also. Blueing is original to the gun and not one problem from what I can see. Picked it up from the son of the vet who brought it back. I put value at about 750 but I have not kept up on these for the past couple of years. It was sold to me with the other item the vet picked up a black wound badge. With out the badge is there anything I am missing on the gun? What is a gun like this selling for out there these days? I am thinking of putting the gun and badge as a lot up for sale. Thanks

750 is about right for an asking price but it won't sell for that. I think a fast 600 is more like it.

I am selling it at 675 for the gun and wound badge or 650 for the gun alone. I know some raise the price and then come down but I don't do that. I try to sell at fair prices off the bat. Thanks a bunch for the input though, I appreciate it.

I think it would sell easily at $650. What's great about it, is the grips aren't cracked at all! Don't often find that any more!

Thanks Matt. I have read your posts and feel you are a good sounding board for real world values. I was told on another forum that 675 was way too low and it was worth more like 1200. This is a bit shocking to me and I would feel it would have to have waffenamp stamps or another marking, low serial range ect to justify this price. Is 675 too low? What is the real world value this should sell at so I am not leaving money on the table nor asking an unreasonable price?

Thanks for the kind words. I do try to price things "fairly", and also my estimates are the same. Not trying to screw the seller or the buyer for that matter.

Well, if you don't wanna leave money on the table, my best advice is you can price it higher, and you can always come down.
As ValhallaMilitaria said, you can price it at $750, and come down from there.

I understand what you mean though, and I've been on both sides of this matter. I've put stuff for sale, and have had it sold before I even finished posting the photos! Then you sit and wonder.....did I price that too low??? Other times I've posted stuff up at what I thought was very low prices, and it sits on the estand for months!?!?! Then you wonder why?

I guess it all depends on how fast you want to sell it. It also depends on where you list it?

            Hope this helps?
            Matt
