    mg34 markings...

Hello, I'm new to the forum here and have a question about an mg34 I have, the reciever and the barrel jacket are not matching, but on the receiver it has three WaA11 stamps above the serial 9597 b . I've done some searches but havent gotten much info on the WaA11, can anyone tell me who made this '34 and what the "b" means below the serial?

    You must get this book.

The "b" stands for 20,000 units of production. So your serial number means 29,597 gun. I don't know the Waa number off hand put should be easy to look up.

waa11 i beleive is CRA Maget, depending on how early it may be, it may even be a 5A production code before introducing CRA as the ordnance code.
