spaget,
Your grips are postwar. All grips for PPKs pre 1946 were one piece. 100 Euro for WWII grips would be a very good price if they are free of cracks and are not warped. If they have small hairline cracks around the screw escutcheons which is common, then the price would still be fair. If you choose to fire your gun, replace the WWII grips with the two piece grips.Last edited by Tepo911; 04-14-2011, 05:33 PM.

Hm, so does this walther have the original finish or was it "repainted"? What is it's value? I am gonna buy the grips which are in the picture.

spaget,
From your photos, I tend to believe that this is the original finish. If it had been refinished, the pitting would have been removed. But then the edges would likely have been rounded and the factory data on the left side of the slide would have been dished by the buffing wheel. A hands on inspection would tell much more.
The blued finish of the frame instead of silver finish visible within the ejection port area which you refer to is not a problem. This is found often and does not indicate definite reblue.
As to value...The somewhat poor condition due to the pitting would normally take this out of collector interest. However its provenance as a PPK issued to the SS/RSHA raises its value a great deal. I have no idea as to the market in Slovenia. If it would be possible to market to Western Europe collectors the value would be much better.

Small correction.
There is no evidence that the holster posted was specifically issued to the SD.
The Kommandeur der Sicherheitspolizei und des SD im Distrikt Radmannsdorf was a sub-district office of KdS Veldes. The KdS in Radmannsdorf exercised jurisdictional command of both the Sicherheitspolizei and the Sicherheitsdienst. In other words, the holster could quite easily have been issued to a member of the Gestapo, Kripo or SD.
Spaget,
A great pistol and superb holster. Can you please confirm that this is indeed a black holster with brown undertones?

So here is the new look of my gun. It cost 250 €+ 100€ for the new grips. they are not in top condition (two cracks and they are twisted), but still good for the collection. What is it's value in the USA? Thanks again for all your replies.
