          Images or details...

Your images are not loading for me- only the top one that is so far away that I can hardly tell its a 98k??

Images are best, more the better, or detailed description of finish, markings, what matches, etc... would be needed to give even a remote valuation.

Typical rc's pull $200-300, matching quality rifles pull $700-2000+ depending on maker, date & quality.

It was made in 1942 by Waffen Werke, Brunn, Bystrica- "dou" 44. All numbers match.

                well...

If it has "dou 44" on the receiver it means it was produced in 1944. The bayo is not German, (certainly not a 84/98 III); and assuming it is all matching (which is a big assumption as there is significant fraud regarding the 98k, especially the late production KM's) & the finish is 50-60% (hard to tell from those pics) then I would say it would draw $500-700 on one of the auction sites.
Much would depend on your description & images used, quality images showing detail & a description done in a way to show "knowledge" on the subject can go a long way price wise on the rifle auction sites.

If you take the time to do images where the details can be seen we might be able to help more.
All the makers had their own little details- Bystricia had several unusual features, one being that from 1942-43 production they didn't use a suffix on the bolt & sometime in 1944 they started to do so... they are the only manufacturer to do this (all the other 98k producers used a suffix on the bolt), also they were probably the laziest of the maker and early on used only a minimum of proofing on their production. Further they serialed their bands in a different way from the other makers late in the war...

Anyway, many do not care for dou/Bystricia rifles, but I find them interesting, however on these late production rifles one must take extra care before buying a "matching" rifle... much harder than determining a 1935 Mauser Oberndorf matching.

Yes, Yugo, but also possible Polish. If you tell what markings are on it will be clear.

This is what the bayonet says. On the Oneside it has stampes W.P., with a bird like stamp (possibly eagle), then on the other side it has a stamp that looks like a D inside of a C. Then the Perkun. And finally a triangle with an M inside of it.
It also has the number 510100 stamped on it.

Try to get pictures of the stamps having trouble with digital camera.

Your bayonet is Polish, many were used in German service and some were not modified to German specs. Yours is a unmodified type and is very collectible / much more desirale than a run of the mill German issue bayonet.

                          Congratualtion!!! Nice bayonet!!!

Perkun - is company name from Warsaw. Full name of the producer is - Towarzystwo fabryki mostów "Perkun" w Warszawie.

W.P. is from "Wojsko Polskie" - Polish Army

                          Eagle is Polish national emblem.

Your bayonet looks as mark 29 (wz 29) it was used with Polish mauzer. (So now you need to find just Polish mauzer to have one set )

Captured bayonets were used by Germans, often after rework, so are with Polish and German markings.

                            Wz.28

When i am correct the official designation was Wz.28 type 2 without flashguard, the bard should be matched with the bayonet, it looks like Yours is in original polish condition, while many were reworked by germans, by blueing the blade, removing the barrel ring from crossguard and upgrading the scabbard mouth. It could be possible that the bayonet was used with german rifle throughout the war.

The dou code is for CS Zbrojovka Brno, plant 2 Povazska Bystrica, in Slovakia. best regards,Andy from BCN

                              Hi AndyB

You are correct, I wasn't sure is there flashguard or not. (not clear to see it on the picture).
But looks more like without (so series 2)
Acctually in 1933 (document no 7/33 pkt.101) was introduced new symbols for bayonet modells, so
wz.22, 24, 25 were changed to wz. 27 - these without ring around barrel.
wz. 28 to wz.29. - with ring. (Maybe becouse Polish mauzer was kbk wz.29?)
                              german bayonets - no changes.

M in triangle - is a military mark (like waffenamt on german things)

D- confirnation after technical control in factory.

PS. If springs inside the scabard are connected by screw, means it mach with bayonet. Perkun factory used screws.
