    Revolver

Anybody know what this revolver is? It was found in a basement with a WWII German M42 helmet. Thank You

Might be an old Hopkins and Allen breaktop but it would be marked on the upper barrel rib, if marked SPAIN on bottom of butt its a Spanish copy of a Smith and Wesson model. Belgium made copies as well. Dogs head grip looks like Hopkins and Allen, Just a shot in the dark

Thanks Steve, I'll check on the markings.

It appears to be a Hopkins and Allen. Can anyone estimate the approximate value of something like this in the condition shown? Thanks again for your help.

Blue book is $190 stone mint as it left the factory.

In this kind of condition they are a dime a dozen. Out here you would be lucky to get 75 bucks for it.

I agree. You can find them here at the gun show between 50 - 75.

Another one here who agrees. Hopkins & Allen, Iver Johnson, etc were basically the poor mans hand gun. Affordable, reliable, and cheap. They are littered all around and you go to any gun show or shop you will see at least one. Shop by me has at least a half a dozen and not one is priced over 100 dollars. Not to say that they are bad, but they aren't very collectible unless they are in the box.
