German 5cm light mortar question

I've got several questions regarding the German 5 cm light mortar:

what are the legalities of owning one in the US?

how difficult would it be to find one?

You should be able to find a registered one from one of the MG, DD dealers. You have to pay the 200$ Tax stamp plus the price of the live 5cm mortar.. Or if you can find a demilled one that has had a hole cut in the base of the tube where the launching pressure is created, and the hole is the same size as the opening in the tube, and then have a bar welded across the top of the tube where the round is dropped, then there is no paper work or transfer...wfg
