    Late War Commercial Mauser

Shown is a late war Mauser commercial Luger, and probably made up from left over or rejected parts from Military production. In addition to the strawed small parts, the inside is polished back to bright like the rust blued pistols.
The barrel is Kal 7,65 marked, and probably a barrel left over from the the 1934/06 Swiss contract Lugers where a few are found marked that way.
From the beginning to the end of Mauser production, most of the contract and commercial pistols were in the v, w, x, and y suffix blocks. The pistol shown is in the w suffix block.

Interesting piece, thanks for sharing! I always loved the straw finish on Lugers.

    Best,

      Very interesting piece.
The front sight is completely different from those previously fitted to the 4,75 in. barrels - even those installed on the GNR Lugers made by mauser in 1934-35.

      I love it.

              Thanks for the replies.
The barrel marking, which was acid etched rather than being applied with a roll die.
