    mg34 deactivation uk

I have 4 mg34s 3 new spec 1 old spec but not early old spec. however the old spec (deactivated 1994) one the barrel comes out and the bolt still has the threads in front of the rollers so when cocked the barrel moves back. on the 3 new spec ones the barrel is held in place by a hole drilled into the barrel jacket, a pin inserted into the barrel and this holds the barrel in place, but on the other 1 no hole so its not as if someone has removed the pin post deactivation. so does this mean i just got lucky or the proof house missed it? out of the 4 it is the best because its a bsw 1937 tight hole.

Sorry, I can't help you about that but it would be nice to see that 1937

I used to have an mg34 that was deactivated in 94/5 and the barrel came out, but the receiver would not separate from the barrel jacket. I think some had pins put in the barrels in such a way that you could partially withdraw the barrel. As long as it has not been mucked around with and it has a certificate, it should be fine, i have seen all sorts of variation with deactivation work with the various specifications.
Is the tight hole mg34 you have the one that ryton arms had for sale recently? I missed that one! Do you mind me asking how much it was? I would also like to see some pictures!
