    any issues with these MP40 MAGS? one ribbed one flat

    Hi guys,

    Just picked these up the other day.. neat piece but Id never seen a flat sided one??

    Not really a big gun guy.

          what does the 98F stand for?

          These are running around 75-100 each?

            Both mags are OK. 98E is the maker, I believe it is Steyr, Austria, later KUR. Have a look at this article in Claus Espeholt's web:

              Nothing special, these "flat sided" ones. They were early made, as far as I know until mid 1940. These beadings are just for a better stability.

              Referring to the Codes me6_130 is right. 98E = Steyr Daimler Puch AG, Österreich ; kur stands for the same manufacturer but later code.

                  I'm selling some 55 eu-ribbed, 65 eu-non ribbed. That would be in $ 75-88.

                    Actual selling price of the MP-40 mags here in the U.S. seems to be anywhere from $40 to $60 for nice clean ones with original finish.
