    Deativated MP 38/40 questions

" A Very Happy New Year to all on this forum " ,,

Sadly in a weak moment 7 or 8 years ago I let another fellow collector purchase both my MP38 and MP40 smg's, as I am lucky enough here in NZ to hold a collectors licence that allows me to collect German firearms of WWI & WWII, both these 2 smgs where in beautiful un-touched un-altered condition !! ..

Now that times thank goodness have changed for me I find that this stupid action taken by me all those years ago has left a rather large hole in my collection ,, On checking out prices of unaltered MP38/40's, to put it midly I had my breath taken away !!! ,, It looks as though my only hope of filling this collecting gap would be to look at importing these replacements in deactivated condition, from possibly the UK, Europe or the US ..

Would members who have had any sort experiance with exporting deactivated firearms from any of the above countries care to give me advise on how to go about this ,, I would be most greatful for any comments or thoughts you would care to post ..

    Many thanks in advance
    Paul l k.

    Dear Paul,

Don't buy a de-act !!! You can buy a live one in the UK for the same price as a de-act from a Section 5 dealer. Sometimes cheaper.

I will make some enquiries send me a pm with your requirements.

    Regards Craig.
