    Broom-handle red 9 mauser & stock

Hello folks. I recently had the opportunity to see a vet sent-home Red 9 Broom handle Mauser pistol, w/ matching wooden holster / shoulder stock. Knowing that there were large amounts of '96 Broom-handles imported over the years from China, I'm curious what the current market is for such a pistol (vet bring-back). The example in question is all matching, at least 85-90 percent original blue and in overall excellent condition. Shoulder stock is in good shape as well, but the leather shoulder strap is missing. It was mailed home from the ETO by the father of the individual who showed it to me. I have NO pix, however I'd just like to get some input regarding price, etc. from some folks who might have more experience w/ these pistols. Thanks in advance!

    By the "book"
    Poor:450
    fair:700
    good:1000
    v.g.:1500
    exc:2300
But I am not sure if this is a rig or just pistol, I hope this helps.

Thanks! Sure, any help is appreciated. How recent is your reference? I'd have to assume, that the prices indicated are more than likely for the pistol itself and not including the holster / stock. Thx again for your time!

        The book is 2010.

I would say higher, despite what the book says. The matching shoulder stock holsters in 85% - 90% condition are going for at least higher 2's. I would say closer to 3k would be the mark.

Based on your description, of course.

            Some details would be nice.
Shoulder strap is usually not seen with rigs-just belt loops on the leather.
Does it have the tool and extra mag spring?

A dealer is goung to want more money than has been suggested.
Money is tight and some pieces are languishing.

An actual "red nine" rig is a rare and primo item.

The value from the book is just for the gun not the rig prices.
