    Luger cleaning tool ?

Picked this up at a fleamarket. Some sort of pistol cleaning tool I take it. Trench art kind a thing I guess. Early eagle and all made of brass. Anyone ever see anything like it before ?

Standard issue cleaning kit for the Swiss production Luger. I am somewhat skeptical of the application of the NSDAP eagle to the kit.

Looks like an original Swiss military pistol cleaning kit (used for Parabellum pistols, and the earlier revolvers that the Parabellum replaced), to which a Third Reich eagle has been applied. If you can remove the eagle without damaging the kit, then you will have a nice example of a Swiss military "Luger" cleaning kit.

Cheap at that price. I don't think it's a POS. As a matter of fact, I have to change my opinoin somewhat. I can imagine some FJK/police senior NCO picking up one of these back then for his P08 and embellishing it for grins. Certainly not verifiable, but not out of the realm of possibility.

Yes my thoughts exactly. Whether or not its period done, its refreshing to know there are still some collectors with open minds.
