Question on WaA proofed HiGH POWER M35

    Hi Guys,

I recently picked this up and though its all matching the frame seems to have some kind of discoloration?....You can see from my zoomed in pics that the finish is not very polished...What does that mean?

I looked UP the WaA Stamp and it is from a Occupied Beligian piece... Do you concur??

Any idea what year it was made from the serial number?

Too bad the holster doesnt have any stamps?

what kind of ballpark have you all seen these go for with the holster?

    thanks J

Looks like a nice late High Power. Wait for other opinions, but to me it looks like somebody cleaned the frame. It probably had light rust and someone used fine sandpaper to remove it and removed the bluing in a process. On a closeup photos you can see fine parallel lines from sandpaper with rest of the bluing in them.

Looks like the frame was also wiped down with cold blue.
I had a holster like yours and it had the makers code plus WAa
eagle knife like stamped on the inside to the right of where your thumb is
in picture #5. Was hard to see unless you held it up to a light and
looked at it at an angle. I have had a couple and are fun to shoot.

                    Cool looking rig
I see nothing wrong with the blueing other than it seems that late GP35 received in my opinion a very weak blueing as many late war guns I have seen had the same discoloration and were not messed with.
The holster should have a maker's mark to the front lower flap holding the closure strap.

I lean toward the receiver being overly cleaned and touched up with cold blue. Too much difference in receiver and slide blue. The slide stop is certainly blue.
