    Todays find BYF 42 rig

    Picked this up today with a nice DD police helmet and a sweet Walther PP(I'll post pics of the PP later this weekend), this lugar is all matched and has hardly any wear excepth on the frame where the pull strap sat and alittle on the left side of the barrel, came with the holster, FXO mag and takedown tool.had a very nice day.

      Nice find??? Did you find it somewhere around Maumee?

      I find some interesting pieces around here in Central Ohio from time to time.

        Yes, came from a guy in Toledo, got this a screaming PP with nazi proofs, that one is plumb in color just real nice looking and looks to be unfired, and a police lid. Not a bad day.

              Thanks guys! I just looked over the holster a bit better and I didn't see the code until now, thought it was just WaA marked but it has the code "ewx" and dated 1942 .

                          Grips

                          The Brown checkered bakelite grips are quite rare - I understand issued during 1940 to mauser prior to the black one's - you may wish to research the occurance on one of the luger boards. The checkering is between the coarse & fine Ritzmann type found on Krieghoff Lugers. A valuable pair in their own right.
