Early G1

This is an early BGS/BW model "c" G1 Gewehr I have just completed building. The wood buttstock is a type B which was installed with a wood pistol grip.
This was the last model FAL employed by the FDR before replacing it with the H&K G3.

You did a good job. Were any of the parts original German? I built a semi auto M16 clone about a year ago (semi auto AR15 reciever built with a 604 upper and Vietnam era furniture.)

More likely how many part are not German manufactured.
To make the Gewehr BATF&E compliant under current law the following parts were changed out to US manufacture:
Gas piston
Hammer
Sear
Trigger
Upper Receiver
Magazine floor plate
Magazine follower
Pistol Grip
Charging handle

Since ARs are a US designed and domestically maufactured firearm they do not fall under BATF&E 922r order of compliance.

I need one for my collection, but they are very expensive here in Germany...and in semi-auto only.
