    MP40 Problem

Having trouble tightening the barrel nut slightly loose, it is seized or crossthreaded any other way of undoing without resorting to heating up.

You only have to look at the one that went to the head of the class, and has stayed there for next 65 years. It is more popular today than in WWII, and still sees limited use by the U.S. military.

Sorry about that. It was suppose to be on the "Best Handgun" thread. Don't even look at the MP40 threads.

Check whether there is a kind of a washer made of thin steel between the barrel nut and the sling ring.

Don't use heat..... penetrating oil and let it soak for awhile. Back it off using leverage.

There seems to be part of a washer at the bottom.
