Unit Marked P.08 (1911 ERFURT) - ID of Markings?

Here is what is left of a 1911 ERFURT P.08 (#7610) that I observed at a local show today. The gun is all matching and has what I believe are WWI-era German army unit markings on it. Unfortunately, the pistol was re-barreled many years ago and the takedown lever has been broken off by some "Bubba". Thus, at this point it is no longer a collectable firearm, but I found the unit markings to be most interesting and would really enjoy having the markings identified.

Ok - here are the unit markings.

BTW: I just noticed that the toggle assembly appears to be mis-matched (it seems to be #35). In any event, I was not really paying any attention to the gun - I was only interested in the unit markings.

Sorry for the poor photos; taken quickly (w/ seller's permission) indoors at the show, with my 3 year-old impatiently waiting nearby in his stroller.

The frame matches the receiver and all parts (other than the toggle assembly).

Cheeeze-he sure is proud of this thing.
                  At least double its value.
Basis for a nice shooter/custom piece.

Unfortunately you find them in this condition with this kind of pricing all the time at gun shows anymore.
There is an old financial truism called Greshams Law that states : "Bad money drives good money out of circulation". We all know what happened to real silver coinage after 1964. I think there's a similiar law that applies to gun collecting in respect the bad guns driving good guns out of circulation. I don't remember the last time I saw a really nice unmessed with Luger at a gunshow. Or at least one you didn't have to take out a small business loan to buy.

Looking through Jeff Noll's book ("The Imperial German Regimental Marking") and Gortz/Bryans ("German Small Arms Markings"), it looks like this P.08 belonged to the 14th Foot Artillery Regiment.

Anyone know what a "Foot Artillery" Regiment (i.e. "Fuss-Artillerie-Regiment") was in the Imperial German army? I assume it had cannon; anyone have any idea of what type/caliber of cannon it would have been armed with? Anyone know where this particular unit fought during WWI?

Artillerie Regiment zu Fuss 14, 2nd Batallion, 6th Compagnie, Haubitzer, Waffe Nr. 10.

                        Heavy artillery Regiment 14, 2nd Battalion, 6th Company, Howitzer, Weapon # 10.

I am travelling now and do not have access to complete info as to calibre of the weapons but it is a heavy artillery regiment as opposed to a field artillery regiment. Such units supported sieges of heavily fortified enemy positions.
