    leads1,

Finding a "vet bringback" stock can be difficult, but many IDF & Russian exports are available from the gun parts dealers or from E-Bay....be prepared to spend anywhere from $75.00 (Russian/IDF well used) to $300.00 (Non-import in exc. condition).

I just got an early vet. p.u. that was dufflebag cut, missing the short front section w/bayonet lug....for $40.00. I had an all matching early rifle with stock broken at the wrist....so I "cut" the front part from my broken stock and completed the duffel bag cut stock....matched "perfectly"....so lucked out!

Took me a couple months....but there were lots of nice stocks on ebay if you're willing to pay premium.....cheaper stocks will be marked for export or repaired...depends on the rifle your restoring. Be SURE it's a German K-98 stock and not a Yugo. or Polish version.....

Search "Mauser Parts", K-98 stock, German Mauser, etc. on the computer for dealers.
