Rare Flare Gun w/ Holster Questions

    Hi,

This just came out of the woodwork. Any idea if this is WW1 or WW2? It would appear the holster can be used in conjunction with a Luger.?

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Top shot, Notice the holster has 2 areas, one for the flare gun, the other slot for a luger or p38 or a gun stock?

Thank again for the help, as this is not really what I collect.

I believe that is a post WWII E. German piece. The proofing of Suhl would indicate production there, probably in the Thaelmann Werk, the former Sauer factory.

It is the Leuchtpistole Model LP 1 "1001"

It is an East German Flaregun, obviously post war.

Holster is correct for that flare gun.

                Value ~ $100
