    KM marked LUGER holsters?

    Hi Guys,

What did the KM use in the way of LUGER holsters and what apart from the Eagle and the M is a way of identifying these?

Can you please give me a little info and a few pictures as well for reference. Any information really appreciated.

    Thanks kindly in advance!

Last one I saw had the serial number and fleet identification of the pistol on it as well. (I think it was an N for Nord).

The only holsters I have had like that are early Third Reich. The property marks are usually placed along the upper left front edge like the Reichswehr holsters.

Yes, it was pre-war, 1936 dated I believe.

Sadly, with the exception of the SS markings, it is probably the most faked marking you will run across. Know your seller and be sure he will stand behind what he sells.

With this form of eagles it could be only 1939 not 1936. best regards,Andy

Sorry for a stupid (mabe not) question........equipment or weapons with WaA AND KM proof stamps (like the holster shown)? Doesn´t make any sense to me, either it is Wehrmacht (then WaA proof stamp) or Kriegsmarine (then KM proof stamp). Both on one item would be very suspicious to me. I do have some KM stuff, and there is definately no WaA on any.

I believe bergler is right on this, note the fresh eagle M stamp compare with the weak stamped maker or WaA stamp. I would be very carefully on this.

The Navy property marked P.08 pistols had the full army proof and acceptance marks, as well as the holsters. This is what makes the pistol and holster so easy to fake.

Same true of Navy K98ks - regular acceptances plus fleet property letter/no. (sometimes only letter) on butt washer and e/M on rt side butt unless diverted from Army (e/H) supplies in which case e/H on butt (and fleet property letter/no. on butt washer). Bayonets as well: e/WaA plus fleet property letter/no.
