    Stamp on sling for review

I got this sling in the other day, upon checking it I found a small rzm and ss stamp. Can anyone confirm if they are original?
    thanks

I am pretty positive that that is fake.

well the fact that it has an SS stamp makes it's chances for being fake higher, or at least a real sling "dressed up" to make it cost more

I didn't want to poo poo on your sling but my first thought was that it was a fake.

What does the rest of the sling look like. The part shown looks a lot like some of the new leather being turned out.

Makers mark on the sling, will make a better picture of it tonight
I am sure the sling is period, question is only if the stamps also are.

does nobody own a ss stamped sling which they would claim to be original. I mean to compare with. Or are all ss stamped slings fake?

I don't remember where I came across this, but this guy has an excellent website about 98k slings. He doesn't mention anything about SS or RZM marked slings, but obviously the fact he hasn't found one doesn't mean they couldn't exist. You might try contacting him to see what he thinks. It is hard to believe in anything that is SS marked anymore, seems likely to be fake. JMHO

IMO I don't like the marking or the sling.
