    Luger Holster & Tool

Just picked these up nice holster and tool with a 1938 dated unmatching luger, condition isnt bad, alittle pitting here and there, looks like its been sprayed black on grips and its missing a spring?? as there is no resistance when its cocked, and you have to return it, the slide is alttle loose. it however still dry fires fine.

    An easy fix?

Whats the going rate for a Holster like this, i will most likely estand it

    Thanks Mike

Parts and pieces. The frame and receiver are Mauser, while the toggle is DWM. Barrel is not an original barrel. Remove the grips to see if the mainspring is still in the pistol. When removing the left grip, raise it slightly and slide it out from under the safety lever. Raising it up too high will break the edge of the grip off on the end of the safety lever.
Tool appears to be an original and could be worth around $100 if original. Holster would be in the $150 range in my part of the country.

It was fairly cheap in terms of UK Luger prices, no surprises its parts because of the mismatch but what do you mean by the barrel not being original ( that being post 6 )

Didnt expect a high price on the tool though

                    Thanks Mike

I believe the reason it's a little loose is because it's been improperly assembled. The problem you describe is commonly encountered when the toggle is not properly engaged with the main spring.
Easy fix.... Go to net for assy. instructions...

You would never see lathe turn marks on an original 1938 Mauser barrel, there is no barrel gage mark, and it has a commercial Nitro proof.

If the receiver assembly has about 1/4 inch of back and forth slack, it is not assembled correctly as Ronnie suggested. There is a coupling link on the back of the rear toggle that catches in the recoil spring lever.

and its fixed and working correctly, that was easy took the slide off, the T bar part was not located in the part thats attached to the spring in the grip.
