BCD K98 Opinions Please!!

Hey guys,
I am looking at buying this K98 and wanted to get your opinions. It is a non matching rifle, however there are no import marks and all markings are present. the bore is bright and shiny and everything mechanically is in working order.
What do you guys think of it? What do you think it's worth?

Sir: The buttplate appears to have a finish (bluing?) on it......These were left in the white......Having said that, it looks to me like the same finish on the rest of the metal.....The exception being the bolt, which looks phosphated......

From the photos provided, I'd vote for refinished metal on at least the triggerguard/floorplate.....Hard to say for sure with the rest of the metal, but numbering/lettering looks crisp....Bodes

It sure does look like parts of the rifle have been refinished.

If your looking for a shooter, this one is it,,,if you are looking for a collectible this one is not it,,,send it back and keep up the search!

It looks like one of the imports from about 15/20 years back. They appeared as if the exporter or importer took great pains to mix up the parts. I did see one of the death's head marked conversions of a G98 come out of them. The mark was just about even with the wood line on the barrel and right up against the receiver. It couldn't be seen until the grime was cleaned off. Like all the others, it was totally mis-matched.

I am actually looking for a shooter K98 right now, but think I'll pass on this one.
The guy said he would sell for $400.00, but like previously stated, I believe that $300.00 would be the maximum for this one. I have not purchased it and have nothing tied up in it...just shopping around.
