Mp44 pouches

I obtained these for WW2 Reenacting but are they real or fake and can someone tell me why.

I compared these to #4 on this list of know originals. http://claus.espeholt.dk/mp44_pouches.html

They both have WaA142 markings and Koh-i-nor snap buttons. It also smells very old and looks like the same material as pouches 7-10 on the same page.

agree fake, why? bad markings, leather has been aged, just would not stand up to an original no chance,

the leather for me is what jumps out as being bad at first glance, hope this helps

take a look in the equipment forum, many good ones posted there

I wouldnt trust all of the pouches on Claus' site either

Is this a joke? They are such obvious fakes; especially when there are photos of originals for comparison purposes.

No joke. This is not my area when it comes to collecting. I am into pre war and wartime BMW motorcycles. Anyways there seems to be plenty of fake,aged MP44 pouches compared to know originals.

I don't know if the fakes actually outnumber the originals but it seems that there seems to be more fakes for sale than originals. Most of the nice originals are tucked away in a collection, unavailable until that collector is done with them.
