    Legitimate stamp?

    Hello all,

I have never seen a waffen ampt placed above the 'duv', or other known makers. Is this legitimate? Or a fake?

*This is the only picture I have showing receiver markings.

Some makers had them, some didn't. Someone here will know. My DUV41 does not have it though.

Yours is a Norwegian conversion to 30-06, correct? Nice rifle

Negative on the ownership. I did keep your link you sent me to PS. I do appreciate that! Now that I have a license I was finally on the hunt to pick one of these up, however I had to check it out before I bought it.

So far all duv's do not have this secondary marking on the receiver. Which leads me to believe the rifle is a mock up?

Interesting...I did find this link, also with a ampt above the duv, some with and some without. Can anyone else verify there were these differences between duv marked rifles?

Well I guess it depended on the inspector at the time certain rifles were made. I have seen period rifles with a few different. Maker codes..... Some with and without...........

CW ; all in all you have a rifle that was rebarreled ,reworked and remarked by the norwegian military as evidenced by the receiver being milled and remarked. So for collector purposes it's really got none but for a shooter.
