    BATF importation Information please.

    Dear Americans,

Soon I will be selling a pistol from my collection that may be of small interest to a US buyer. Can US buyers legally import a handgun into the US and what does it cost ?

This question is so that I can make my mind up whether to even bother to offer the Pistol to potential US buyers.

If its worth it what value roughly would it be ?

Its nothing special just a Model 1934 Mauser, all matching, Kreigsmarine Marked. 75% blue, never messed with.

    Regards Craig.

I don't think it can be imported because it doesn't meet the "points" (size/caliber requirements) system for importable handguns. Inquire of BATFE.

Honestly it's probably not even worth the hassle.

A dealer here in the states will have to file the appropriate ATF Form 6 and depending on other various numerous laws such as those based on sporting clauses, it may or may not be approved so on and so forth.

        It's a great big hassle.

          Dear Gentlemen,

As I thourght the powers that be in fortress America are very frightened of importing a 7.65mm handgun. I will sell in Europe.

Many thanks for your replies guys. Your government is not always accomadating with gun importation or exportations but the helpfullness of Americans with regards to offering information to non US members on this forum never ceases to make me smile.

Thanks again from the heart of Europe.

          Regards Craig.
