    Pre-civil war rifle ?

Not the best of condition. If anyone can provide data it would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance, Rick

Not sure if you might recognize this motif as a logo or just an embellishment...

I'm thinking value would only be a hundred or so due to condition. I'm guessing it's value is as a wall hanger. Am I wrong?

Looks like a shotgun to me. I would say somewhere in the $250/350 range.

Fowler yes a shotgun, percussion muzzle loader. Usually 150-400 range even if London marked.

Can't make out any marker markings unless the engraved birds are for a specific firm that made them.

            Was I correct that it's pre-Civil War?

They are normaly marked under the barrel if it comes apart.

As suggested, look on the bottom of the barrel under the wood. If it is European it will have proof marks. The double barrel was the preferred shotgun in the U.S.
