    Help with Value/Mg34 Parts kit

I dont collect firearms, but would any input/help from forum members on the following, which is being sold by a friend of mine:

MG34 Complete parts kit, which includes everything except the receiver. It does include a dummy receiver. The feed cover is marked dot 1943 with serial number and if I remember correctly, Konstruction Rheinmetallborsig, ( I think I left part of the full nomenclature out). Serial number of feed cover, butt stock, Three spare barrels (one in the housing, two in numbered carriers with slings) are all the same, so fully matching Serial numbers. Gun looks to be in almost new shape, retains all the bluing, and is so dark it almost looks black. Has original red/white painting to the trigger for single and dauer feuer, etc. Includes the original wooden transit case, with all the wooden slots and small ieces of wood you turn to lock in the pieces. Includes full machine gunners pouch (also marked identical number as gun) and all the contents, wrench, small oil can, spider AA sight, and some other small pieces. Has a total of four barrels, and three spare barrel carriers, three barrels and carriers match gun number, fourth I did not crack open, Also includes two nice canvas covers for the feed area. Also comes with a very nice AA tripod mount which fully extends. Includes full documentation from 1945 indicating the gun would up in the hands of the Brazilian army, and has all test/maintenace/inspection records from 45-62, where it went after that no idea. The butt stock is a nice wood, not bakelite, and also has the leather carrier sling for the gun itself. Transit case is field grey, and marked serial number same as the gun, none of the original gun codes have been crossed out, and no new numbers added, so unless I'm missing something, its the full kit as left the factory, but as I'm not a weapons collector, I can't say that is 100 percent accurate, any help would be greatly appreciated. I know times are depressed as are prices, but just would like to know what a fair value would be for these items. Thanks in advance for your help.

    I found this code:

dot Waffenwerke Brunn Bruenn Plant, Czechoslovakia

is it consistent that on the feed cover it wouls have

dot 1943, above that four digit code, and I think above that

Rheinmetall Borsig ? I might be mistaken as to sequential placement of the
date/code/writing, and I think it says Konstruktion Rheinmetal Borsig, howevre
would one see the Rheinmetall Borsig along with the dot code? thanks

Credit where credit is due and thanks to the several members who have contacted me privately with wonderful information on these weapons, I appreciate sincerely you taking the time to contact me and share your valuable information, and the history behind these gun's manufacture. It all makes sense now, and you have filled in all the missing links. I suspect, as with other collecting areas, many gun collectors dont consider this the "real deal" as it was shipped overseas and not intended to mow down Russians on the European battlefields, I imagine, a minor point to me but not to purists, and perhaps the gun is best filed under an abandoned orphan of questionable lineage! Maybe I'll run across a special foto of it being used at Babi Yar, and then it would really be something "special" to some! ---Please feel free to sling them arrows--- Regardless, it sure looks nice
