          The Colt looks to be a commercial 1903 .32 auto . The second pistol is a WW2 Japanese Type 94 8mm .

The Colt pistol is a Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless. From the serial number we can say it is the Type I variation, with separate barrel bushing, 4 inch barrel and no magazine safety. Production date is 1906.

What caliber is the Colt Pocket Hammerless? They were made in both .32 and .380.

                Johnny,

For me it seems that this gun has the longer barrel (4 in.). This was a feature presented only in the .32 ACP variation. But let's see what Colorado says.

I couldn't see the full length to judge if the barrel was shorter or not. Both pistols had their barrels shortened by 1/4" at the same time.
It does appear that the pistol had the bright charcoal blue finish, which would put it in .32 production with that serial number.

Johnny, This Colt hammerless has to be a .32 The .380 was not introduced untill 1908.

I agree that it is a .32, if from nothing else but the finish.
