    Old US Colt pistols

    Nice Colt Bisley, birdie! They are scarce as far as I remember (Old West guns is not my field of collecting).
    And I enjoyed the Army 1860 too. You gotta love the "cartouche" in the grip, with the Army inspector proof.

          What's the story on the cartouche on the right side of the grip? On all the ones I have ever seen both cartouches looked the same as the one on the left side of the grip, but with different initials in them. The one on your gun is a very different style altogether. Have you ever researched this to find out what it is?

            Colt 1860

            I believe this is a Civil War factory refurb.... per the serial 3ers barrel assembly is mismatch..

              Bisley Cal

              The Bisley is a .38..........from what I recall the man. date is 1900....Both guns are in operable very good condition..working on the prices now...........

                Man oh man...never seen a Colt 1860 personally WITH any cartouche...or any 1860 in that sort of condition! You've a real treasure there, my friend!
