Price of an MP43/1 rewat in the US?

Can anyone give me a ballpark figure for an MP43/1 (no scope rail) rewat (rebarrelled) in the US? The finish is about 80 percent, no pitting, original stock, MP43 stamped magazine? Thanks in advance. Chris

    Hi Chris,

    Ballpark is 15k to 20k.

Thanks Gary, that is about what I was thinking. Considering selling mineand want to be sure i am coming up with a fair price. Looking at picking up a nice C&R MP38/40 in its' place.

How are things going for you?

$12-$14k sounds more accurate in today's market based on the condition you describe. Does it still retain it's C&R status?

I must agree with our colleague from Ohio on his price comments; in the condition described, $15K would be pushing it and asking $20K would send potentially interested persons looking elsewhere.

Check out the subguns.com and sturmgewehr.com boards; these are the "hot spots" on the web for NFA items for sale.

BTW: The current economy has hit MG prices and stuff simply won't bring the same amounts as 2-3 years ago.

Yes, it is a C&R registered weapon. So, given that the current economy has driven down the price of mg's what would one expect to pay for an MP38/40, C&R in good condition, 80-90% blue no pitting?

I have been going over the lists you posted for a couple of weeks and I am yet to see an MP43 or 44 under 15k in any condition.

              Hi Chris,

I think my estimate was a little more realistic because of the rarity. A Mp44 or STG44 I would agree with the others but there are far fewer Mp43's out there so they command a premium. When you say MP38/40 is that what it is or is it a MP38 or a MP40? There is a large price difference between the three. A MP38 will bring in the 10k to 20k range depending on condition, a 38/40 around 8k to 15k and a MP40 between 7k and 12k depending on condition. This is assuming they are not "tube" guns which will be about 30% less.

              Cheers
              Gary
