MG 34 machine gun 7.92 cal. belt value

    Hello all,

I have a guy looking to sell these to me but I have no idea what they are worth. I take it I don't need a FOID card to purchase ammunition correct? Do you have to ship them a special way?

That looks like U.S. military M2 Ball dummy cartridges. I believe the head stamp is FA and 4, which would be Frankford Arsenal, 1944.

FYI: You can obtain really nice original WWII German issue MG-34 belts here in the U.S. for no more than $10 each. In fact, right now Dan Shea at Long Mountain Outfitters (Henderson, NV) has original WWII German marked ammo cans (post-war repainted) w/ 4 original German marked belts, plus 1 original German marked starter tab, for $75.

          Belts

Agreed, those look just like dummy rounds, you can find belts as low as 9$ out there that are original GermanWW2, if you ever ship any ammo you have to go w/ a hazmat charge I believe, at least we do up here in Alaska, and it's hideous from or to here on live ammo. Chris...
