    G-43 Question

Whats an average price for a decent g-43 rifle? By decent I mean all numbers matching. not rusted, ect...
    thanks

Over 3 grand. I shopped around for one for a while but decided I wasnt going to pay over 3 grand for a rifle that isnt even rare?

You could always try searching on gunbroker and auctioarms. Sometimes they have good deals (and usually there's a reason...), but the majority are mismatched!

G 43s have always been scarce. Rare? I would say a G43 that has not been sanded, has matching numbers, not sporterized or duffle bag cut or some problem are rare. It would really seem as if 95% of them I see for sale have a problem, if there is no problem I think in today’s market you will pay a minimum of 3500.

Well said Bob. Seems that the vast majority of them will have stock issues. Since most later ones were rarely finish sanded...i.e. they look rough, most people had to make them look better by sanding them, as a minimum. Hence, trying to find an unsanded/unmessed with G/K43 is pretty tough nowadays. If you do not mind a saned/messed with stock, then yes, they are fairly common. Just my opinion here.

              G43 Question

I recentally purchased a all matching g43 for 1200 $ but the previous owner ha sanded the crap out of the stock and i had to replace this, so i totally agree that most of them have issues but if you search around youll be able to find a reasonable cheep one

I agree, althoguh you got a good deal and these deals don't happen often! But one without issues will cost you 3500+ unless you get lucky. And they are very rare without issues!

high gents, I don't under stand why every one thinks the g-43's are rare. here in AZ. I see at least 1 at every show, & not over priced ( like the prices you guys mentioned). Now I know I got a deal on mine a coulple of years back . it's in fantastic shape, nothing messed with. a year later found the mount & scope, Same show. now the mags can be little hard to locate. just have to look real hard & let every one know , that's what youre looking for.
my collection of k-98k's has gotten real nice , ALL because I put out the word. any one finds one, they give me a call. I can NOT recall seeing ANY g-43s over $2,500 in this state (& every one at the show thought he was nuts on the price). & of course ,if you buy from any internet related site ,you'll get lighter pockets. jeff

I recently attended an auction where a very nice all-matching G-43 went for $1500 out the door, and a couple of mismatched rifles went for under $700.

On the other end of the spectrum is this one:
