I have a couple hundred rounds of 8mm ammo that I picked up years ago. I have looked every where for info on them and have come up short. I was hoping that you guys have run across some of this stuff and have some idea where it came from. No pics right now because I am at work, but will try to load up some later. Ammo is described as follows:
Brass case, unmarked base, green annulus, three crimp primer. Copper jacketed bullet that appears to be standard ball. No other marking of any kind.
Even the 7.9 books don't mention this stuff. I was thinking maybe post-war French or other. I have always heard that for many years after WWII no one made much 8mm because of the millions of rounds captured from the Germans. Help is always appreciated!! Thanks!!!
