Does anyone out there have a cased Luftwaffe unit marked 98k .22 cal. conversion unit.. I have Kreigsmarine and Heer unit marked ones but have never seen a Luftwaffe one..(Marked in the metal)....

I too have never seen a Luftwaffe marked unit. How is it supposed to be marked? A pre-war Luft eagle proof? Same as on a Luft pre-war k98? I have only owned and seen Heer units.

Willi, Here are a couple of markings on .22 98k conversion units that I have. Krreigsmarine is marked stylized eagle with M under the eagle N.776. Kit is dated 1937 case is Eagle M marked and N.776.. Heer is marked 4/J.R.51... 1937 both are Erma. I would assume that the Luftwaffe ones (if in fact they do exist) would be unit marked like the Heer ones, similar to Luftwaffe unit marks on belts, frogs, ammo pouches etc.. ...wfg
