question about k98?

I got this today at the gun show. I am not an expert on the k98, but I know this one is russian capture. But I think this is a luft gun if I am not wrong.
This is the first russian capture that I got that does not have swastikas
pinned-out (which is nice).

Any info on this gun would be appreciated.

I believe the H on the stock indicates Heer or army property, not a luftwaffe k98.

It looks like it was re-barreled, since the firing proof on the receiver is a Weimar eagle, but the one on the barrel is a Nazi eagle. That stocks looks pretty decent, so it may be worth your while to strip off the shellac and maybe try and restore it to its former self.
