    Paratrooper used Beretta 38

Anyone have any idea how much value would be added to a dewat Beretta 38A with large Luft Eagle on stock? I am unsure what a normal dewat 38 would go for but would think with Luft FJ markings it would bump it up a bit? Any thoughts?

I've never heard of a Luftwaffe marked Beretta 38A before.... I thought only the 38/42s were made under German contract, and even those didn't have markings like that (that I know of). Got any pictures? Also, is it a papered de-watt (which could be reactivated legally)? That will have a major impact on its value.

No Papers, unsure if it is a dewatt or demill. Markings are a large Luft Eagle on stock. Can not post pics. email me at - mrcrtm@yahoo.com - for pics. Thanks, Tim

Never seen and never heard of such a thing. Are you sure that it is not a fake?
The only difference was in MAB 38/42 that have marking like "MP BERETTA Mod, 38/42 - cal 9" instead of "Moschetto Aut. BERETTA - Mod. 38/42"

Here are the pics given by the topicstarter.
My opinion it is a fantasy LW eagle on Romanian contract SMG

                    Agree

It is fantasy. Also the term for this would be demilled not dewat. Since it has had the receiver cut in three places with a torch. Value the money for the parts only.

yeah that eagle was just put there to dress it up a little bit so somebody could sell if for more money
I don't see why you would ruin a deact like that by stamping giant eagles all over it

I have seen a lot of Berettas 38A, but none had a German marking. I´ve got a Beretta 38A from the Italian army, which was used later by German forces. It is really rare, because it has the rare Italian "crown RE"-marking:

I agree with the comments that this is basically a parts gun.

Schnellmeyer, can you post photos of your Beretta?

Tons of these came in and were for sale for like $38 some years ago.

I picked up a bunch and had fun piecing them back together as displays.
