German fnh CZ-27 Pistol

    German fnh CZ-27 Pistol

    This morning I found a CZ-27 pistol that is waffenampt proofed as well as the fnh code stamped on slide. This pistol is very beautiful with a dark blue finish to it, and is in excellent condition. Just a few minutes ago, I contacted the dealer and had him to salt it back for me. I don't think $150.00 is too bad for this pistol, would go great with my P08, and P38.

    Would the CZ27 be considered more of a police issued item rather than being issued to the Wehrmacht?

    CZ 27s were issued to everyone in very large amounts over 300,000.. The police issued ones are special police marked, no Waffenamts on police issued ones....

      Hi,

      Bill, is right they went everywhere! They are also a very nice shooting pistol, fits well in the hand and has a nice little crack to it!

      I think at $150.00 in that condition you might want to pick it up but they are not fast movers so don't buy for quick turn around.

      I have a few of them and the holsters that go with them, I think they are a very "Priced right" pistol for collectors.... that will all change when books on these "Puppies" start being turned out.

        I echo these same sentiments!

        It is a fine little pistol, yet has not appreciated to any great degree. About 6-7 years ago, I decided to sell off a portion of my pistol collection, and I had two beautiful CZ-27 rigs. Both pistols were waffen ampted, one blued and one phosphated, each had a marked holster 42 for the early and pebbled grained 44 for the late and each had an extra mag....I really had to struggle to get $250 for each of these....Good grief..people want $250 for a decent luger HOLSTER these days...

        Oh well, they were fun to have. I 'm sure you'll enjoy yours. By the way, drop me a message and let me know where in Georgia you are..I'm near Athens.

          A short story of a cz 27 and a Radom... As a 14 year old Growing up in Charlotte, N.C.. I would frequently ride my bike from my house in south Charlotte, to S.C.(only 11miles) to buy fireworks they were against the law in N.C. I would buy big noise makers M-80s and cherry bombs..that summer I over heard a fellow talking about a farmer that he knew that had a couple of pistols that were for sale. Well I got the name and address and headed off on my bike, it was getting dark when I arrived, he had a Early Radom in a holster for 35$ and a CZ 27 for 15$ I gave him the 35$ for the radom (and still have it). I chose the radom because 9m/m Canadian 44 round boxes of 9m/m sten gun ammo was 2.5$, and a hardware store near my house had plenty, 32 automatic ammo was like 4$ a box at the time.. I was broke for the next 6 months..... .....

            CZ27 Pistol

            Thanks for the replies guys! In fact, I had just put a Quality Hardware M1 Carbine on layaway when I saw this pistol, and I am like d'oh! Since I am a regular customer for military surplus rifles at the pawn shop, the owner graciously allowed me to put the CZ on the same tab as the carbine.

            At another shop I found what appears to be a late war Radom. On the slide has a name, I believe John Smith and May 1945 engraved on it. However, the price was too steep for me.

              The CZ27 (issued as the P27 by the Germans), was widely issued to all units, including, Army, Kriegsmarine, Luftwaffe, SS, and Police units. The Police marked examples are all marked "eagle K" I believe, and are quite rare. KM marked ones are also very rare.

                Here in Poland I got access to archive records that enabled me to redress the history of the Vis as we all know it, and discover several variation that nobody ever heard of, but after the war and 50 years of Communist rule the surviving Radoms are counted in tens, or maybe hundreds at most - in a 40 million country! And so I try to know as many surviving Radoms as possible, to resaerch the practical side of the Vis history as well as the papers.
                Would you, and for that matter all Radom owners who read this post, help me with this monumental task? I'm also looking for any pictures of the Vis(Radom) pistol in the hands of any army, police or guerilla that ever used it. I'll appreciate any help.

                  Leszek, Here is the information on the Radom that I acquired so many years ago, 43 years ago almost to the day because I headed to S.C. to by the fire works on July 3...Here it is SN: A5883, cut for shoulder stock, black FB grips, two line slide legend:
                  F.B. RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567 eagle swastika 623
                  WaA77 "P.35(p)"

                  it has early Polish magazine magazine mrked with oval G2 and + for second magazine.. I'll will get you some picts this weekend BILL GRIST
