Hi Everyone,
Anyway got a great supprise today at work, well for starters I am deployed in the middle east right now, anyways some friends of mine and I today had to clean our weapons tonight as we came off our shift, which is nothing new and something we do daily and my buddy and I were breaking down a m2hb fifty for some cleaning, anyways I often take a look at the receivers just to see who built these things as I am seeing diff. manufacturers of john brownings famous half inch hole punch. Well the weapon we were field stripping tonight was built by Kelsey Hayes Wheel Company, a Company I have never heard of before until today. I did some research here on the web and learn that this company built the famous Ma Deuce during the second world war, I was extremely amazed, well I have heard that our m2's have been around for a while but to see this veteran still marching on in service since at least 1945 or before just amazes me! The idea that this old soldier was protecting guys in ww2 and now she's my protection is quite an honor to say the least. If this gun could talk, the stories she'd tell i'm sure. I'm going to try to get a couple of pictures of the receiver in the next couple of days to show everyone here, don't hold your breath though it may take a little bit I'm not the best at uploading to say the least and where I am the internet isn't that good. I just wanted to share something that I thought was cool and that other firearms lovers would think was pretty cool as well, anyways I'm off to perform sleep operations right now
