Hello Not sure what I have here. I think the holster is a reworked 1890 US military holster of some type. The pouch looks like a Sam Browne belt pouch. The holster is marked on the back Rock Island Arsenal. The owner might have not like the US since he covered the U . Kirby

I'm going to throw this out there as a thought. Native Americans were often
employed by the US Army and I know that they decorated their rifles and so on.
It maybe possible that this was used by one of them. Like I said, just a thought.

Hello I was thinking Native American or Mexican. I saw a holster like it on ebay. It was described as a 1890s US Calvary. Not my area of collection so thanks for any opinions. KirbyComment
