The "jewel" in the crown of my German collection

Had some nice weather for photography so I decided to take some pictures of my 1944 German byf pistol and holster.

    Here she is:

This pistol has a serial number in the "a" block placing its manufacture either in December of 1944 or perhaps even January of 1945.

I have one correct magazine for the pistol, but, tracking down another at a reasonable price has been elusive.

And, the pistol is paired with a gxy 1944 holster that is in pristine condition.

Thanks for the kind words. This pistol shoots as well as it looks, however, I rarely take it to the range these days for fear of a piece breaking or getting lost.

Nowadays I rely on a slightly younger German pistol, a Sig Sauer SP2022, when I want to shoot 9 mm Parabellum at the range .
