Hi, nice one! Old spec or new spec? matching numbers? Tell me more as it is my fave rifle. (as you most likely know, the amount of times I have shown mine here )
I am intererested in the shoulder stock. I have never seen one that shape before? I have checked out this website:

It looks like one of those Replicas by "SHOEI" the stock is identical to this one shown at http://www.endoshoji-jp.com/page036.html .
A nice looking MP44 either way
, with the current prices of these old spec MP40s and 44s, i think i might have to settle for a replica

When you said about the stock I noticed the condition look to good to be true on the finish of this weapon, I also remembered that when I was looking for a MGC68 MP40 I stumbled apone this site. With all those cool replicas. Those FG 42s looks fantastic, however the prices have much to be desired.<O</O
Shoei makes a bunch fantastic non firing replicas. Their Mp44 is very impressive and is made to the same scale and dimensions as per the
original.
They strip, cock and dry fire just like the real thing, only thing is that they are made out of low quality metal and the barrels are solid for obvious reasons, unless you have the airsoft version shown here.

i bought mine from ebay and it arrived this morning,despite the high price of the shoei's its still a hell of a lot cheaper than deac's and hopefully more fun as i hope to have a co2 setup for it tommorow
