FN MOD. 22 w/Waffenproofs

I just picked this one up. A nice early FN Mod. 22 with a ton of waffen proofs on it. It also has a matching magazine which is also waffen proofed. The bottom of the grip where the mag. goes in is stamped "F" and "9" whatever that means. There are also some markings -possibly East German that have been ground off. Not very visible so not too distracting.
Comments welcome, and an idea on price-I paid $375.00 for the piece.

This is a nice early FN 1922, with the plastic grips, and has the "eagle/WaA103" proofs on it. Serial ranges started for the nazi proofed guns about 20xxx. The real early ones have the "eagle/WaA613" on them. Not often seen.

The magazine does not match however. These were never numbered to my knowledge, and your magazine is proof marked with the later "eagle/WaA140". Most likely it was numbered post war by someone (as you mentioned, possibly police? or collector "enhancement"?)

Thanks for the response. Yes, you are correct. Magazine is not correct. The numbering does not match that of the pistol. but is is still a correct FN marked and WaA proofed mag.

Yes, it is a correct wartime FN magazine. Just not "correct" for your gun. You would want one with the "eagle/WaA103" proof on it.
